About Us
Independently, each seeking new horizons, Rudy and Mary embarked on an adventure subsequently leading us to Ketchikan, Alaska, now about 35 years ago. There we began our relationship and embraced this paradise and great community as our home together.
We both are actively involved in the arts and humanities, music, and recreate in the grand outdoors. We designed our home just north of town, in the Clover Passage area where we are close to nature at all times and had in mind to share our surroundings with others.
Rudy by trade, is a professional auto body repair and paint technician for 30 + years. His passion is playing guitar and harmonica and is a songwriter. His writing forte also etched out a novel, and was submitted to the SE Alaska Fair, winning 1st place. He’s also acted in a few roles in community theater plays, which of course you shouldn’t miss if opportunity presents.
Mary has been a long-time state park ranger and worked in the natural resources profession and outdoor education for about 35 years. Her passion is gardening and hiking and keeping company with her Alaska Husky. She is a Rotarian of 20 years or so and likes to focus her special interests on international projects, and maybe travel for humanitarian purposes.

Home and Surroundings
Treat yourself to magnificent views overlooking Clover Passage. From inside the living area, or from the wonderful large covered deck outside, rain or shine, you can enjoy captivating morning rainbows, mist rising, sunsets, salmon jumping, otters and seals playing below, or Humpback and Orca Whales passing before your very eyes! Ravens View is nestled on a steep ocean bank, with a private entrance below the owner’s main house. Your hosts will gladly do their best to assist in any special requests or accommodations that may be needed.
Enjoy the solitude in a secluded, private and tranquil setting amongst the Red Cedar and Western Hemlock trees where nest Bald Eagles, Ravens and Great Blue Herons. You can see song birds and hear their lovely singing notes twittering in the surrounding forest.
Enjoy the perennial gardens and tall trees along a short walk up the driveway. Paint your fingers blue or red while picking wild Alaska blueberries, hackberries and salmon berries.
Ravens View out of town location makes access to the wilderness easy to explore.
