Ravens View Vacation Rental, finished in 2009, has a private entrance in the lower level of the hosts’ home, with magnificent views over Clover Passage.  From inside the living area, or from the wonderful huge deck outside, you can enjoy captivating  morning rainbows, mist rising, sun sets, salmon jumping, otters and seals playing below, or Humpback and Orca Whales passing by before your very eyes!

Enjoy the solitude, in a secluded private and tranquil setting amongst huge Red Cedar and Western Hemlock trees where nest Bald Eagles, Ravens and Great Blue Herons.  You can see song birds and hear their lovely singing notes from within the surrounding forest.
 
Our out-of-town location makes access easy to explore the wilderness at hand.  This vacation rental is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts, small families, retirees, as well as business professionals who want to experience being close to nature, and away from the hustle and bustle of town, but have the convenience of modern technology.  After a long day of hiking, biking, kayaking or fishing, you can come back to the comforts of home.  Or, if you have decided to extend a camping experience, but are ready to move indoors, this is as close to nature as you can get.  Ravens View will perfectly meet your needs.

With Alaskan warmth, our Ravens View unit offers a cozy 2 bedroom retreat that will sleep up to four people. The kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils, basic staples, and appliances.  Enjoy a snack or supervise the cook sitting at the tile covered kitchen island. Dine in the comfort of the living area, or outdoors. For those wanting to BBQ your fresh catch of the day, or other treat, a charcoal grill is provided outdoors on the covered deck.  For your convenience, a washer, dryer, and laundry soaps are available in the alcove of the bathroom.  Perfect for light travelers!

The vacation rental provides free local phone service, wireless internet service, cable TV, DVD, VCR and radio.  This place is nonsmoking.

Enjoy the perennial gardens and tall trees along a short walk up the driveway.  Paint your fingers blue or red, picking wild Alaska blueberries, huckleberries and salmon berries to your heart’s content.

We are just minutes from these amenities: 2 marinas for boat rental or fishing charters, a kayak outfitter and zip line, a grocery store, and public parks with hiking trails, picnicking, beach combing, and totem poles.  Town is just a quick 25 minutes from Ravens View.  Ketchikan, historically known as Alaska’s Salmon Capital, boasts of working harbors.   Take a walk on the docks and see if our fishing fleets are in port.   Ketchikan has year round entertainment both outdoor and indoors.  There is vibrant downtown, state-of-the-arts medical facilities, and an active arts and humanities community.  There are athletic events, arts & craft fairs, and frequent musical and theatrical productions scheduled throughout the year.  You won’t be disappointed.
